Òran Crois Daltain
[’Song of the Cross of the Foster Son' - the Apostle Saint John.
Also known as 'The Preaching Cross' & 'Kildalton Cross’]

Ar N-athair Nèamhaidh,
in silence Crois Daltain speaks,
points Pagan pilgrims to the Living Word.
Now this day this night
between Heaven and Earth,
where An Geadh Fiadhaich soars,
let Crois Daltain speak again;
There resurrect eternal communion
with those longing after heavenly bread.

Athair, Mac, Spiorad -
one uncreated light cojoined,
three divided undividedly
whose light shines in the darkness
and the darkness can not overcome it,
penetrate into the depths of Pagan worlds.
Unveil the darkness of searching hearts,
let metamorphic minds fused to Earth
hear the call of the Crois - the Incarnate Word.

Dia uile-chumhachdach;
let divine seeds be sown on paper,
our tongues silent, our hand heard.
On the wings of the Spiorad create bread
to feed the thisness of animated breath,
point Pagan seekers to the truth of Crìost.
Dhè Ro Àrd, transform their phronema
to the Word of Life, vivify their flesh,
that their joy be made full in Crìost!

Mar sin bitheadh!
