Briseadh!
[Act of Breaching]

The line of wake disappears,
I sway with the motion of inner seas,
always listening for colliding
shifts in polyphonic melodies:
rogue waves that defile freedom's voyage.

At the helm I glimpsed a shadow dance,
where wood meets glass I glance,
there too colour’s spectrum sways.
As dawn’s breeze feathers the weathered spar
light’s refracting flare mirrors the shade.

As ocean’s spray bathes my eyes
I watch this burst of black on white
duet with reflection’s gleam:
Tip graces tip, foot brushes foot -
as if each touch, yet never do.

Swaying, poised in symmetrical ellipse
one curves right, the other left.
Curiosity turns my head to seek
neither shadow nor reflection
but the weathered spar’s true condition.

Rogue waves breach mind's calm,
dissonance by an Spiorad Naomh defies:
Weathering thoughts had deflected my sight,
delayed all eyes embosoming true joy—
authentic liberty, voyaging in Crìost.
