Leaf Fall The Puka Tree entwined around the Kohekohe. Reaching higher to the sky than its host. Puka drops a solitary leaf. It falls, glides, floats, not a sound. On forest floor, carpet of fallen leaves. Some fresh, others just humus now. Yet from humus good things grow. So let this life of mine let go it's leaves of self, redundant to life, not inspired. Come now Holy Spirit nourish me deep within. © Craig A. Roberts, 2020
