The Parcel
A Parable

Once a man with a young child was moving through a crowd of people carrying a valuable parcel requiring two hands to hold.

In a moment he focuses all attention on getting through the dense crowd.
But soon looses sight of his beloved child who is lost amidst the crowd.

Would not the father cry out the child's name and put down his valuable parcel and seek first his child?
A Reflection

O how quickly we go astray
 amid unwanted disruption.

All attention shifts to the task at hand,
impatience rallies hardened hearts.

Deaf to Heaven’s call and nudges
wisdom not discerned - left behind.
